Thanks to 68 partner organizations, last year’s inaugural conference was a resounding success. 1,600 people from 86 countries attended the conference in 2021; another 3,000 people watched the event on YouTube Live. Nearly 700 attendees from 71 countries submitted feedback that was overwhelmingly positive.
As the Conference Chair of the Inaugural event and now as the network’s new Partnership Chair, I’m reaching out to you personally to invite your organization to participate in the second annual Global Peace Education Day online conference as a partner organization.

This year’s theme is “Empowering Educators for Peace” The program combines keynote speakers, panels, interviews, music, video interludes, and special features. Our conference chair is UNESCO’S Assistant Director-General for the Social and Human Sciences, Gabriela Ramos. International screen actor Michael Nouri will return as the host.
Our inclusive global faculty includes peace advocates, educators, officials, dignitaries, scholars, scientists, civic leaders, clergy, entertainers, and artists, showcasing creative and practical ways to share peacebuilding skills. We will show the impact of peace education, on climate emergency, women and refugees, peacebuilding to heal violence, and sustainable development. We’ll discover the role of arts and culture in peacebuilding, look deeply at peace careers, and explore the expanding global culture of peace.

- Volunteer. We need help with research, social media, communications, interpreters, and more, from now through September.
- Contribute. We are committed to keep the conference free to attend, but there are real costs for video recording and editing, online software, equipment, travel and marketing.
