Funding Opportunity – Seed Grant Applications are Open!

United Way of New York City and Food Bank For New York City are pleased to announce that the 2024 Seed Grant Application is here! Non-profit organizations are invited to submit projects that provide organizations with the ability to develop or improve upon innovative and sustainable ways of confronting emergency food and/or nutrition needs of low-income individuals.

Selected projects may receive up to $25,000.Note: past Seed Grant recipients from 2018 onwards will be ineligible to participate for the 2024 grant cycle. This grant is not intended to start new emergency food programs, or to support food costs or operational costs for existing emergency feeding programs. 

Step 1: Review Application Guidelines (includes application questions, application instructions and required supporting documents)

Step 2: Download Required Project Goals and Budget Template 

Step 3: Starting December 1st, apply HERE (We suggest drafting your answers using the questions noted in the “Application Guidelines”, then typing them in when completing the online application form. You must have all supporting documents ready on-hand before beginning application)

Applications open December 1st and are due December 21st, 2023.
