Dear Mr. Paul Sladkus,
We hope this letter find you well. In recent years, our world has faced various challenges, from natural disasters to geopolitical conflicts and global health crises. These unprecedented challenges, reinforce the necessity of the continued pursuit of peace which is a shared aspiration for humanity. Dr. Hong Tao-Tze, President of the Federation of World Peace and Love (FOWPAL), and his late wife, Mrs. Yu Mei-Jung (Mrs. Hong), have devoted their lives to promoting the ideals of love and peace. Three years ago, Mrs. Yu peacefully bid farewell to us, leaving behind a paradigm legacy that continues to inspire world citizens.
A Life Devoted to Service:
Mrs. Yu, Mei-Jung wholeheartedly supported Dr. Hong, Tao-Tze, the Zhang-mem-ren (leader) of Tai Ji Men, Vice President of the Association of World Citizens, and the President of the Federation of World Peace and Love. She fulfilled her mission of helping others and the world by traveling to every populated continent, including visits to more than 100 countries to promote the culture of conscience and peace, garnering wide recognition and building precious friendships with countless international advocates. She worked with Dr. Hong to establish FOWPAL, the renowned peace organization. Together with Dr. Hong, she helped establish Tai Ji Men academies worldwide, providing spaces for tens of thousands of families to enhance their physical, mental, and spiritual well-being.
Honoring Love and Peace: A Tribute to Mrs. Yu Mei-Jung
As we honor Mrs. Yu’s legacy, we cordially invite you to [Illuminating the Light of Peace with Love and Conscience] series of events:
1. 「Concert of Thanksgiving and Memorial Prayer」: on April 7th (3:00 pm – 5:00 pm), at the Tai Ji Men Qigong Academy in Pasadena, CA, We will feature an ancient and solemn bell-ringing ceremony, and a cultural gem performance blending music, dance, and martial arts to honor Mrs. Yu, the spouse of Tai Ji Men Zhang-men-ren, and the FOPWAL Vice President’s lifetime aspirations and actions for love and peace. This event also aims to promote the International Day of the Power of Hope, illuminating the Light of Peace, and connecting the world with the promise of peace and protecting it with hope and energy.
2. 「Celebration of the 5th International Day of Conscience」: On April 6th (1:30 pm – 5:30 pm) at the Pasadena City Hall, we mark the significance of conscience and good deeds with bell ringing, cultural performances, prayers, and an action plan for our shared future.
3. 「FOWPAL World Leader Summit of Love and Peace」: Distinguished global leaders gather on April 5th (6:30 pm – 8:30 pm) at Le Méridien Pasadena Arcadia to discuss innovative solutions for pressing for global challenges. This summit encourages collaboration and fosters a spirit of peace that transcends borders. We look forward to making tangible contributions to global unity and peace in 2024 through our collective consensus and action.
We cordially invite friends from all corners of the world to join us in commemorating the gentle and influential love of Mrs. Yu through this series of activities. Let us join hands, uphold the spirit of conscience, love, and peace, and contribute to the well-being of the world together.
If you are unable to attend, you may send a representative to participate. Please also provide your tribute to Mrs. Yu. Additionally, in honor of Mrs. Yu’s selfless dedication to the world, we would like to invite you (or your organization) to present a citation for her contributions to cultural heritage, love, and peace in the world. This citation will be presented at the 0407 event and preserved for pousterity in the archives of Tai Ji Men and FOWPAL.
