As we kindle our Advent lights, we know that it is Chanukah, the Jewish Festival of Lights. We hold in our hearts and our prayers the whole House of Israel, who once again have been subjected to an unspeakable assault, this time in Sydney, Australia while celebrating their sacred holiday. May our lights brighten these dark times and our faith inspire us to turn our prayers to acts of friendship and solidarity with the Jewish People.
