Sing with Global Hatikvah Now!
Global Hatikvah is a virtual choral movement to unite the Jewish community and friends of Israel around the world through the unique power of music.
Participants—like you!—from around the world will submit videos of themselves singing “Hatikvah” in a show of solidarity and allyship.

Each one of the submitted videos will be combined into a single virtual choir performing a new arrangement of “Hatikvah” alongside the Israel Philharmonic—a truly unique and inspiring experience—which will premiere on Yom Ha’atzmaut, Israel’s Independence Day, on May 14. |

You (and your appetite) are invited to a massive celebration of all things kosher with hundreds of food brands, cookbook authors, influencers, and experts, all under one roof.Known as—what else?—KOSHERPALOOZA, this first-of-its-kind festival for foodies, hosted by FleishigsMagazine and Powwow Events, takes place Wednesday, June 28 at the Meadowlands Expo Center in Secaucus, NJ.
The full-day extravaganza is packed with events like Chopped-style cooking competitions, cooking and mixology demonstrations, wine tasting classes, exclusive book signings with renowned cookbook authors, and informative panel discussions. Visitors are also welcome to hobnob with some the top kosher creatives and influencers from across globe.
Of course, it wouldn’t be KOSHERPALOOZA without bites and sips! With a wide range of exhibitors—from restaurants and visionary startups to the classic brands your grandmother grew up with—expect an endless offering of products from across the kosherverse. Among them are more than 100 booths including: The Cheese Guy, Prairie St. Prime, Jacks Gourmet, Holy Wagyu Meats, Kosher Valet, Bethel Creamery, Royal Wine Corp., Pizza Biza, Bread and Batter, The Nuttery, Pelleh and so much more.
So nu, who’ll be there? The lineup includes noted kosher cookbook authors and influencers Kim Kushner, Levana, Naomi Ross and Paula Shoyer who will be cooking up a storm and competing a la CHOPPED; Headliners including Chanie Apfelbaum, Danielle Renov, Gabe Geller and Dani Klein hosting and toasting; Games including blind taste tests, hot sauce contests, and a wine glass challenge, along with a panel of experts offering wine tastings, mixology demos, as well as People’s Choice for best new product.

]]>Chanukah on Ice NYC is back at Wollman Rink!

From its inception in 2008, Chanukah on Ice NYC has become a treasured holiday tradition for Jewish families in Central Park’s beautiful Wollman Rink.
Chabad Family Programs is once again hosting Chanukah on Ice NYC, on the 2nd night of Chanukah, Monday, December 19, 2022.
“Chanukah on Ice NYC is an opportunity for Jewish families to celebrate together the joyous and positive messages of the holiday,” Sarah Alevsky, coordinator of Chanukah on Ice NYC explains, “ and particularly now when being Jewish can seem scary and fraught to our kids, it feels really important to host a party that is an unapologetic celebration of who we are.”
Skaters will enjoy the experience of skating to the sounds of Chanukah festive music, together with the signature Dreidel mascots spinning on the ice.
At 7:30 pm the giant ice Menorah carved by ice artisan Bill Bywater will be lit in a moving ceremony. Israeli Olympic skater Hailey Kops will be on hand to help light the Menorah, and Ta Shma orchestra will bring their live music to the celebration as everyone will join in to sing the traditional blessings and prayers.
Skate rental and complimentary kosher food and beverages are included in the admission fee.
TIME: 6 -9 p.m., Monday, December 19, 2022.
PLACE: Wollman Rink in Central Park, in NYC, located near the 59th or Central Park South entrances.
