Enjoying the Spirits of Robert Burns & the Hudson House Distillery. We 

recognized and honored Hillrock Estate Distillery & the Sloop Brewing Co. for their contributions to the Distilling and Brewing industries in the Hudson Valley and celebrated the art and life of the great Scottish Poet, Robbie Burns, at the annual Robert Burns Supper, Distillery Awards Ceremony!

  In recognition of the growth and sophistication of the Distilling, Brewing and Wine industries in the Hudson Valley the Robert Burns Scholarship Fund, a non profit 501 c-3 cultural organization, created and presents the annual Robert Burns Distillery Awards, given in recognization of an individual leader or organization’s contributions to the Hudson Valley’s Distillery, Brewery and Wine producing community each January at their annual Robbie Burns Supper/Celebration. 

 We were proud to award the 2023 Robert Burns Distillery Awards to Hillrock Estate Distillery from Ancram, NY and Sloop Brewing of Elizaville and Fishkill, NY.  

The Hillrock Estate Distillery- from Ancram, NY. A family owned business built from the ground up reflecting their dedication to hand crafting exceptional whiskies reflecting the unique terroir of the Hudson Valley. Sloop Brewing Co.- Elizaville & East Fishkill, NY, Founded by Adam Watson and Justin Taylor in 2011, Sloop has become one of the fastest growing breweries in the US.  A much-anticipated tradition in the Hudson Valley, the  Distillery Awards Ceremony, Robbie Burns Supper/Celebration features an interactive evening with the Honorees acceptance of the Distillery Awards, recitation of Burns’ poetry, a traditional pre-fixe Scottish supper, storytelling, songs, and whisky toasts

The Robert Burns Scholarship Fund, a non profit 501 c-3 cultural organization, whose mission is to promote the annual Robbie Burns Supper/Celebration along with other cultural events, fundraise for the annual Robert Burns Scholarship and grow and develop the annual Robert Burns Distillery Awards. The annual Robert Burns Scholarship will be awarded to a deserving student for the study of distillery sciences in the Hudson Valley, given in memory of  Gable Erenzo, in acknowledgement and appreciation of Gable and Ralph Erenzo’s contributions to the development of the distillery industry in the Hudson Valley.
