Approximately 1.6 million Americans suffer from IBD … and if you’re one of them, you may feel misunderstood by friends and family members who often minimize your condition… Thankfully a new campaign called Together, We Know IBD is designed to break through the misconceptions surrounding IBD, as well as motivate people living with the condition to talk with their Health Care Providers (HCPs) about their condition, continued research in the field.

Here, to explain the importance of following the science in IBD research, is Dr. Iduru, (I-Du-Ru) from GI Specialists of Houston.

Satish Iduru, MD, is a highly skilled gastroenterologist at GI Specialists of Houston, LLC, and has more than 25 years of experience in the medical field.

Dr. Iduru completed his internal medicine residency and his gastroenterology fellowship at MetroHealth Medical Center, affiliated with Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine, in Cleveland, Ohio. He also completed additional training in capsule endoscopy and endoscopic ultrasound (EUS). He is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in gastroenterology and hepatology.

Dr. Iduru is a fellow and a member of the American College of Gastroenterology, a member of the American Medical Association and the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy.
