Drew Tessier is a New York City–based stand-up comedian, actor, producer, and host whose work has been featured on Netflix, Good Morning America, and the RISK! podcast. A graduate of Auburn University with a BFA in Theatre Performance, Tessier spent his early career onstage before turning his focus to stand-up comedy.
He is the founder and director of the New York Queer Comedy Festival and the creator of Laugh Out, a weekly LGBTQ+ comedy showcase at Greenwich Village Comedy Club. For more than a decade, Tessier has worked to create opportunities and stages for up-and-coming comedians while performing at comedy clubs, theaters, festivals, and events across the country.
Tessier also hosts Drew Tessier’s (Mostly) Queer Comedy Show podcast and the Queer as Folk Rewatch Podcast, bringing his mix of Southern storytelling, queer perspective, and sharp observational comedy to audiences onstage and behind the mic.
