Gabrielle Garcia is a recording artist, songwriter, music industry professional, and creative based in Rochester, New
York. Her journey in entertainment began long before she ever imagined herself stepping behind a microphone as an
artist.
At 18 years old, Gabrielle entered the music industry as a co-host of 88.5 FM’s Latinos Unidos, a freestyle radio
program in Rochester. In addition to working on air, she became involved in artist promotion, booking, club promotions,
and live events. During those early years, she helped promote and work with established freestyle artists including
George Lamond, Stevie B, Lisa Lisa, Evelyn Champagne King, and many others.
Her experience quickly expanded beyond radio and into live entertainment. Over the years, Gabrielle built direct
relationships with artists, managers, promoters, producers, and investors throughout New York, New England, Florida,
and other markets.
She later moved into artist management and event production, helping rebuild the performance career of an established
recording artist while developing an extensive network within the dance and freestyle music community. She worked
closely with promoters and investors to organize, market, and support large-scale events, often spending months
developing campaigns and coordinating talent.
Throughout this chapter of her career, Gabrielle had the opportunity to work with or book artists including Stevie B, Lisa
Lisa, TKA, George Lamond, Taylor Dayne, Vanilla Ice, Tiffany, G.Q, and numerous other performers. Her
relationship with Stevie B and his touring team became especially close through years of working and traveling together.
Her reputation was built on personal relationships rather than traditional agency booking. Artists and managers began
approaching her directly for opportunities, which allowed her to develop a strong understanding of artist relations,
backstage production, promotion, booking, marketing, and the business side of live entertainment.
From Industry Professional to Songwriter
Although Gabrielle had always written poetry and had a passion for storytelling, songwriting initially remained something
personal.
That changed when producer Willie Valentin encouraged her to write lyrics to a track he had created. The result was
“Mended,” one of Gabrielle’s first songs and an important turning point in discovering that her writing could translate into
music.
Her writing is often inspired by real experiences, relationships, healing, transformation, and the emotional chapters
people sometimes struggle to put into words.
By 2019, Gabrielle decided to step away from the entertainment industry and focus on personal growth. She spent
several years exploring yoga, meditation, self-reflection, spirituality, and self-love. That period became an important reset
and eventually shaped the message behind much of the music she would later create.
Reinvention Through Music
In 2025, Gabrielle made a personal commitment to stop allowing fear to determine which opportunities she accepted.
That decision unexpectedly brought music back into her life.
Through a mutual friend, she connected with recording artist and industry professional Michael “Miami Mike” Irizarry.
Their conversations about music and creativity inspired Gabrielle to begin writing again.
One of the songs that emerged from that period was “Distance Feeds the Fire,” originally titled Miles Between Us.
Inspired by the emotional intensity of a long-distance connection, Gabrielle originally wrote the song with the intention of
having another artist record it.
Instead, Michael presented the song to producer Willie Lugo.
After hearing the material, Willie encouraged Gabrielle to record the song herself.
Her initial response was simple: she considered herself a writer, not a singer.
But Willie and Michael continued encouraging her to step outside of her comfort zone. Remembering the promise she
had made to herself at the beginning of 2025, Gabrielle eventually said yes.
That decision changed the direction of her life.

Working alongside Willie Lugo, Tom E Boy, Steve Ortiz, and Carlos “2 Live KOO,” Gabrielle became part of the
original team behind Nu Era Muzik.
The team supported her development as a new recording artist, helping her work on vocal technique, breath control,
projection, confidence, performance, and studio preparation. Gabrielle practiced daily and approached the process as a
student, learning an entirely new side of the industry after spending years behind the scenes.
She eventually traveled to New York to record “Distance Feeds the Fire” with Willie Lugo, officially beginning the next
chapter of her career.
Today
Today, Gabrielle continues to work across multiple areas of the music industry, combining her background in artist
relations, promotion, marketing, creative development, songwriting, and performance.
Her journey has taken her from radio host and promoter, to artist manager and event professional, to songwriter and
recording artist.
Her music continues to reflect themes of love, heartbreak, healing, self-discovery, reinvention, and personal
transformation.
More than anything, Gabrielle hopes her story reminds people that there is no expiration date on beginning again.
You do not have to have everything figured out before taking the first step.
Sometimes the opportunity that scares you the most is the one that introduces you to the version of
yourself you never knew existed.
