Dear Friends,
For those who are a little older remember fondly Dolly Parton, Captain Kangaroo and the wonderful and thank God still with us Carol Burnett.
I bring them up today because they all affected my life and the lives of many…with Good News and Peace.
I was fortunate to start my career at CBS TV in 1972, initially here in New York, but then moved to Los Angeles to become Assistant Manager of CBS Television City. I was young, already a Boob TUBER, who loved Television.
At CBS Television City we produced many historic TV Shows: All in the Family, Sonny and Cher, Tony Orlando, Price is Right, AFI Salutes to James Cagney/Orson Wells, Young & the Restless and hundreds more. One of the shows that I got to work on was Carol Burnett. This show really was fun to me because Carol and her team were “Real Musical and Stage Entertainment ” and I love Entertainment, but included within their entertainment was education for ” Living Life” with kindness & LOVE, respect and positivity towards our fellow man/woman. Thank you Carol & Team.
Why do I bring the Carol Brunett up, one because shes a treasure and two because she had Dolly Parton on her show many times…another Class Act for Living Life with dignity, respect and LOVE. So we will miss Dolly greatly, cry a little of sadness and joy. PS a little Captain Kagaroo CBS fact, as I worked on that show as well when I went back to New York, when Dolly came to the CBS Broadcast Center everything stopped, and employees went to watch her on our closed circuit TV’s, she was a living legend and a beautiful soul, inside and out.
